Seems like a fantastic deal but those apartments have terrible reviews online for being dirty and the staff being very aggressive and pushy.

I suppose you get what you pay for though and if things like that dont bother someone its a great cheap holiday for them.

You'd have to pay me to return to Marmaris - what a cesspool.

Haven't voted as it's a good deal for those that like Blackpool.

never been so can't comment, I feel the same way about Tenerife though. You don't get the sun in Blackpool though do you?

Yep, been to Marmaris and Tenerife, and there are similarities.

Thing I particularly disliked about Marmaris, is the fact that every single bar, resturant or shop you walk past, will have someone standing near the entrance, that'll try to invite you in. That becomes a real pain in the **** after a couple of days.

The resort of Ishmila, which is not far from Marmaris, is a fair bit nicer.

Took a day trip to Mamaris from Rhodes, and wouldn't go back for a day, let alone a week. Locals were pushy, grabbing your arm to get you in their shops. Even saw pickpockets at work.
Perhaps I just visited the wrong part, but certainly won't be going back.

you mean icmeler? I suppose Marmaris isnt what you would call a "Top Class Resort" but its not at all bad for that price! i suppose this would be good for like a lads holiday or something. Turkey in general is a really nice place though. Went to Incekum last year with my girlfriend, daughter and mother in law and had a fantastic time!

you mean icmeler?
Yes, sorry. That was lazy spelling on my part.

Also, for those thinking of going, be careful with excursions which offer a 'free lunch', as that may well invlove being dragged around an affiliated rug warehouse for a couple of hours!
