Sainsbury's in Gateshead had the same pack for £4.99 last week. I didn't post as it's about the right price compared to online. I did buy a pack though - damn those eye-grabbing discount signs

This is a regular deal at Boots. Duracell frequently sell "buy 4, get 4 free" on AA and AAA's, and Boots have a "3 for 2" offer every other month.

Still by far the best place to buy batteries in-store, but there are slightly cheaper options for on-line purchases.

Good deal, albeit a frequent one. Not sure why the above poster thinks it's cold. Perhaps he's used to Chinese clones that sell at a quarter of the price (but last one tenth as long).

I think Superdrug are selling their own brand at £1. I was in Superdrug on Thursday and the offer wasn't for Duracell batteries. I know because that's what I was in the shop looking for.
