Great drive this and does the job. I'm currently using a friends to transfer some data. Just to note that this drive gets very hot so if you do buy one then keep it in a well ventilated area.

am i wrong to think this is rather expensive. Comet sold a iomega external hd with a internal seagate hd 500gb 3.5" form factor like this one for just under £50

I'm not sure!

:
Boxed-product Weight: 1.8 Kg
Well, it isn't a 2.5" at that weight?

The price is good for 2.5", which is what the photos show on Amazon. But the specs suggest a 3.5" drive.

Infact the price seems a little TOO good for a 2.5" drive ... ?

Well if it's 3.5" then it's cold. Considering the 1TB Iomega from tesco.

I bought a 500gb early last year for £60. so ... ?

Might have to return my 250Gb Iomega from Tescos.

But first can someone please confirm:

1. 2.5 inch ?

2. LED status light ?

3. drop/shock protection ?

4. 7200/5400rpm SATA ?

Thanks
