Home and car insurance cashbacks have been exploding on cashback sites and if you havent taken advantage of this yet (and its time for your renewal) get on it! You can get a policy for up to a month in advance so if you are due for renewal in the next month you can start checking out your options now.

The most spectacular jump has to be Barclays Home Insurance which is now up to a record £125 per policy taken out. Thats the largest home insurance cashback we have seen yet.

Zurich Home and Car Insurance is aiming to get in the game with aggressive policy pricing and by raising their Quidco cashback rate to £80. A big plus on Zurich is their fantastic tracking record especially when we compare to Barclays and Lloyds. Also they have one of the fastest cashback payout speeds to Quidco members with a one month average.

Lastly, we should give notice to Prudential Insurance who havent upped their rate but at a steady £100 cashback and super-competitive quotes have been very popular with Quidco members over the last few months. Again a big plus here is their almost perfect tracking record and reasonably quick payment speed.

So when it comes time to renew your home or car insurance dont forget to check out what Quidco merchants are offering as it very well could make it the cheapest insurance youve ever had!

Prudential raised from £100 to £130.March 07.

Zurich are not appearing at the moment on Quidco,
However Churchill have upped to a decent £60 and they are very competetive with their quotes.
- bazr

Churchill have upped their cashback from £60 to £100 for June08 only.
- bazr

Just to clarify that the Churchill £100 June cashback is for Car insurance only. Home insurance cashback is £60.
Likewise the Pru £100 cashback is for car insurance only. Home insurance policy cashback is £75
- Robbo11

For anybody taking out car insurance it is worth noting that Prudential are giving car breakdown cover free with their policies.

Topcashback and Cashbackkings are offering very similar and excellent deals as quidco and in some cases are tracking when quidco doesn't.

Does anyone know whether it is important to put an earnings enquiry in to Quidco within 6 weeks for Lloyds TSB home insurance, even if it has tracked.

I ask because of the note that Quidco have applied at the point where you follow the link to earn cashback. The note says that TSB will not accept earnings enquiries after 2 months and Quidco cannot chase up after 6 weeks. As you all know with Quidco it can take many weeks for a status to change from tracked to verified and then to paid.

What should I do? wait and see like always or put an earnings enquiry in just in case it never changes to verified? To be clear Quidco tracked my transaction immedietly and all is looking normal so far, nothing has gone wrong yet but I am troubled by the deadline statement and I don't want to risk forfiting £120 on a technicality.

Please advise??????

I have just had my £100 from prudential

Best of all their quote was only £5 more than the next cheapest quote I had had for my motor insurance and now, it's £95 less than the best other quote I had had

I have always had a prompt and polite response from Quidco if I have emailed them, might be worth asking them if you are worried about something?

I was always under the assumption you were only supposed to start earnings enquiries if something didn't track from the very start. Not if it had tracked, and hadn't paid... Maybe I'm wrong though.

Emma, do me a favour, log in to your Quidco account and go to TSB home insurance, right to the point where you are given the link to earn cashback and read the notes at the bottom.

Let me know your interpretation of them, In my opinion they are not crystal clear and £120 is not an amount I wish to gamble with. Thanks

Hi, I'd renewed Household insurance policy via Barclays clicking through Quidco link (whilst logged onto Quidco account) and 1-1/2 weeks later there's no mention of the transaction tracking. Am not happy. Any suggestions?. Regarding running the rist of forfitting £120.00 on a technicality Quidco advised that affiliate payments should not be relied upon (fair comment I guess however I did rely on this whilst making a comparison against other insurance companies) . Affiliate payment was £100.00 1-1/2 weeks ago and i'm unhappy missing out on that. Now the affiliate payment has gone up to £125.00 (as visitors to this thread are more than likely aware) wonder how they (Barclays/Quidco) determine who is and who is not eligible for an affiliate payment?. E-mailed Barclays but they were unable to offer any help.

Updated 15:55 07-11-06. Failed dismally to get anywhere with Barclays Customer Services. Claimed to know nothing whatsoever about Quidco and would not transfer to anyone that deals with affiliate accounts (surely there's a department that deals with Tradedoubler, CommissionJunction etc and ultimately Quidco?). Very disgruntled customer. Quidco were reasonable to deal with by e-mail however Barclays were not (neither by e-mail or phone).

Thank you.
Kind Regards.

Hi Emma, Cancelled policy with Barlcays due to the fact that they were most unhelpful by e-mail and phone. Can you confirm that a click-through via Quidco should show as tracking almost immediately or within let's say 2-3 business working days?. I'd taken out a policy with Barclays via Quidco, whilst logged into my Quidco account some 1-1/2 weeks - 2-weeks ago and the transaction is not showing at all. Shame Barclays deny all knowledge of any form of affiliate/cash-back scheme or web-site. Just my bad luck I guess as no doubt the cash-back works for many . Might opt for another company and click through Quidco as £80.00 - £100 (not taking Barclays into consideration) is as i'm sure you agree a lot of money.

Kind Regards.

Does anyone know if you can use this to renew a poilicy?

As i already have house insurance with barclays but I am having to change certain elements due to moving house.

So I tested a quote via the link in quidco and it seems cheaper than I already have...

so might be worth me doing it via quidoc and maybe cancel my existing?

Just cancelled my policy with Zurich (renewal quote was a farce!) and got a new one with them through Quidco. The £80 is tracking for me and it works out Im paying £90 for the year for building and contents.

I did check them all but that worked out the cheapest.

For those of you whose cashbacks aint tracking, you need to make an enquiry through the 'my earnings tab' on Quidco. I had to do it in March when I joined Bingo! And only last month they paid out.

Sometimes they dont track and its not necessarily the insurance companys fault. Theres a help section on quidco for this so I wont go into it.

Kimbo dont think you can do it for renewals, as I previously said I cancelled my Zurich policy and got a new one.
