Good but of kit if you need something to go with an LGA775 mobo you already have, otherwise it's worth looking at i7.

Before any claims pricing error, it isn't Intel introduced some price cuts on their range of C2D processors...

Prices are per chip in orders of 1000 units and in USDollars before sales/VAT tax.

Not every UK online store has got round to reducing their prices yet (or their distributor hasn't given the stores the discount yet)

I7 seems a better option,

also the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 overclocks to these speeds and beyond very easy and is cheaper.

I7 maybe better, but there will be I5 soon

Will be even cheaper.
