Apple i work 09 60.00 @ COMET

£60.00

173°

FOUND BY: V1NNYC 10 months, 2 days ago

A deal for Mac users. Cheapest I've seen so far, retails at £69.

You can order this online but have to pay delivery or you can order it in store for pick up at a later date for free. I've checked and they can definitely order it for collection as they have plenty of copies at the main warehouse. Sku is 519634, its on the comet in store catalog so a member of staff will be able to find it for you if you forget the sku.

Vinny

You need an application from the iTunes App store called Keynote Remote to do that on top of this iWork package.

People can't seriously be comparing MS Office to iWork and say that it is better. I use Mac & Vista everyday and while I admit that iWork looks great and has some superb features, saying it is better is blatant fanboyism.

There is no database, no outlook or publisher. I admit that pages has elements of both Word & Publisher, but it doesn't work as well as either on their own. It gets even worse when you compare the new version of Office.

Comparing Works & iWork would be better

Why would I need Outlook when Macs come with Mail as standard? I don't see the point in Publisher or a database program myself, serves no purpose for me - iWork has Numbers, but I don't bother using it. iWork is better - looks and makes nicer products.

So, because you don't need the features, i makes it an inferior product? That doesn't really make sense

You could compare Works to iWork, but to critiscise iWork for not having a database or publisher or outlook is a little unfair. In the same price range, you could only buy the Home and Student edition of Office (Word, Excell, Powerpoint and Onenote) and iWork.

Edit: If you did want MS Office on your Mac, you could spend another £20 and buy the Mac version and still only have Word, Excell, Powerpoint - no Access or Publisher.

For the added functions, you'd have to buy the Professional edition which would could 3/4 times as much (£200?)
