Parents had this but took it back, started out OK but it sounded like the harddrive wore out after just a few weeks use -- started making all kinds of noises and would cause all dvds to keep stalling and skipping. Also was impossible to play any of those dvd games on.

Maybe they just got unlucky, but in my experience...save your pennies.

worth it just for the hardrive alone, are you sure it was the hardrive and not the fan on the cpu.
