This model has some issues with sound (apparently) and as far as I am aware bigpockets are familiar with this :(

To be honest, over the xmas period there were plenty of deals on sub £300 LCD TVS, and we are talking major brands like Samsung.

Problem with a lot of cheap brand tvs is they may share some of the same LCD panels as major brands, however thats where it stops, most of the time the chipsets for menu control offer very little fine tuning adjustment for RGB colouring, white balance etc etc, and worse still have poor upscaling (not so bad if you are feeding it all HDMI feeds, but if you have still some SD equipment you will want some decent processing that the major brands provide, Toshibas Regza, Samsungs DNie, Philips Pixel Plus, Sonys Bravia etc etc)

£300 for a budget 32" is not hot, shopping around I think anyone would do better getting a discontinued model from a major brand for the same price or less.

Scrub that, just realised this is a 37"!, good price for screen size, but check reviews and ensure source equipment has the relevant upscaling.

Hi, I purchased this same tv last week from Dabs.com and was not sure if it would be a good tv but thought we would risk it at such a good price, it was delivered in 2 days and looks lovely, has fab picture and great sound.

anyone else want to find a 37" hd tv for less than £299?

my aunt has this model rebranded as a hannspree, sd isn't so good close up as expected, but for hd it is excellent.

sound is great
displays 1080i

buy a freeview box for a tenner or whatever............ Next year you will be saying "no built in freesat, unusual these days"

Freesat is far more versatile than Freeview for sure, and has better area coverage right now, I think the government are being too leniant to be honest with the switchover and its crippling signal coverage . Most people can easily get a clear line of sight to Astra 28E with a satellite dish, and plenty of Sat receivers with HDMI output now.

I know, Ive noticed a lot of tv snobs on this forum.

This is a great deal, at this price why not have a 37" in your bedroom?

voted cold:

Reasons?

1) This set is rubbish.
2) A small amount more will pick you up a good quality LG or Toshiba Panel.
3) No freeview proving the set is old, meaning the set is even more rubbish.
