You can get the Pro edition and the MPEG-2/DVD plug-in for free? I've seen the Pro edition (but none of the plugins) available via TrialPay, but that usually involves spending money.

How do you get DivX 7 Pro + plug-in(s) for free?

I've googled, and I can see that version 6 has been made available for free for the odd day here and there.

Ah.. I see what you mean now. You're referring to the formats themselves, and not the DivX software.

I'll happily pay for the DivX software as I need the encoders, and MainConcept (a DivX company) are widely regarded as having the best codecs.
