I have this one and I'm slightly disappointed with it. Not easy to get out (I use my old iron for single/few items) and it is a bit bulky/awkward to use. Oh, and it drips water, even after waiting for the temperature to go up.
The only plus for me is that I don't have to keep on refilling the tank - as it's massive. So it's good if you have piles of ironing to do. The little spray container is ridiculously tiny though (I never use it as it would probably only last about 5 sprays)

Thanks for the info, at this price im gonna "treat" the mrs, if it leaks then i'll just take it back and get my money back, but for £60, can't go wrong really

I've had the 44272 pink iron for over a year now, which is pretty similar and I'm happy with it because it gets the creases out much better than an ordinary steam iron though of course, most steam generator irons would! It IS noisy though especially when you use the shot of steam but I'm used to that now and turn up the TV volume when I'm ironing!

My model has a replaceable an anti-scale cartridge that fits in the tank and as I live in a hard water area, I do have to replace that every couple of months. I don't know if this model in the deal is the same but it might be something to bear in mind if it is because it's an extra outlay.

I got hold of this iron second hand for 2 pounds and it is a fab iron, i've only ever owned one steam iron but it really has halfed the amount of time it takes me iron.

Great bit of kit if you need it enough said.

Forgive me for being a bit stupid here - but what is this for? I can understand the iron part of the setup, but what the hell is a 'steam generator' and how will it improve my life?

Not too sure myself, but the mrs was pleased. Apparrently they cut the ironing time by half, e.g, if ironing a shirt just one swipe will iron it and you dont have to do the same bit over and over again! Either way it doesnt help me as i dont iron!

They got some Russell Hobbs ones in now with £50 off, they down to £25, can't be bothered to make another iron thread, maybe later when i wake up!

I have this & mine also started dripping recently. Got it last year for 29.99 on the deal here.

Rang Morphy Richards help line - gave them model no. & serial No. - they arranged for a courier swap. Gave me a date, courier brought brand new iron & took old one away.

I only rang to see if they could tell me how to stop it dripping, so I was impressed. The iron also has a 2 year guarantee, so get it swapped if it's dripping.

don't they drip if they're left full of water after ironing, rather than emptying the water?

i have this iron bought it about 8 months ago back then it was reduced to 29.oo on the morphys website. this is a good iron i cant lie however sometimes with real stubborn creases this iron does not iron them out as quick as one would expect.

Its a good iron and i would say buy it if you can get it a little cheaper i dont know if i would pay 60 for it myself .

hope this information proves useful
