Bang & Olufsen A8 headphones - £79 @ BA Highlife Shop (save £16 from B&O shop) free postage

£79.00

85°

FOUND BY: ngard81 9 months, 2 weeks ago

Just because you can get 99p earbuds that are cheap apple copies down the market DONT SHOOT THIS DOWN ;-)

There are very few good sources for B&O A8s other than a Bang store. They are currently £95 in the B&O store and I understand will be going up soon. You can't trust Ebay for these are there are way too many China copies out there that are total crap. BA selling these for £79 is a good £16 saving with free postage!

Details below...

Bang & Olufsen A8 Headphones

Crafted from anodised aluminium and hard rubber, these high-quality earphones offer superior sound quality and comfort. Designed to adjust to the contours and curves of the ear, they virtually eliminate sound leakage.

Your best off going to a B&O store and have a listen to them. If someone dosn't rate them, it could always be because they heard a damaged pair... just a thought. Personally I really like then and feel they stand you well against the competition at this price point. I rate them for having the capability of really deep base while managing high pitch tones very well. Money well spent.

B&O stuff is good but its always more style over substance. You will always find other kit that outperforms (even if it doesnt look as good) for half the price. Not even that much off the RRP.

If you name is the same as the year of you birth, ie.1981, I would use them a lot... (just not TOO loudly!) to get your money's worth! At your age you are probably now either well into the process of losing/or have lost most of the high frequencies you are talking about, and well on the way to ending up with the performance of a Poundshop pair out of you ears

I am saying this sort of tongue in cheek, but with a significant element of truth thrown in for good measure, in no time at all you probably won't notice the benefit much either!

I work for a high end Hi-Fi manufacture and I would never by any B&O stuff, they don't know how to make things sound good, only look good. They are experts in marketing and you guy's are falling for it! go buy some stuff with your ears not your eyes.

They won't be around much long, http://www.reuters.com/article/rbssC...21502320090115

ha Ha HA... :-) some interesting and funny points, granted

At the ripe old age of 27 I feel I have pretty sharp ears still :-) and would benefit from a nice pair of headphones. I agree with those comments around paying for design though in this case I feel the design is worth the pennies as the adjustments allowed by them result in perfect positioning which is worth it. I don't want the traditional over head type as unless you're at home or a DJ, you look stupid. sorry but this is fact, not just my opinion :-) And those earbuds are either damn uncomfortable or just plain fall out!! rubbish

These are just the ticket for me!

Nick.

These are fine if you crank them up to get decent base but then the sound quality (and state of your eardrums) starts to suffer. They're quite heavy and just don't sit well on the ear. Good quality manufacturing but nothing special soundwise.

Get a totally uncool but superior sounding set of Grados for the same price...

Im guessing thats because you don't work for B&O and either have been mindwashed by corp or have a really good staff discount :-)

Only kidding, I agree that there is better out there though for the package you get here and the cost (which is not really that much is it? £80... ) it is an atractive offer. very comfortable.

I can't pretend to know what the B&O A8's sound like, but the headphones I've recently bought (Koss PortaPros) are much cheaper and get cracking reviews for their sound and comfort: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/33096...es-17-99-deli/

I used to be a Sennheiser PX100 gal

They're even more far out than the Grados (the sr series)
