Don't discount small independant electical shops - I never thought I would get one of these when my Toppy died 3 days beford Xmas - as well as the problem of getting a sat. dish erected but hubby was talking to the owner of a small shop in town, said what I was after and they actually had one in stock, came and installed the dish the next day and total cost was only £300 including a new dish and setting it all up, and for such quick service, and fitting it on Xmas eve too, I think I got a great deal.

That was an excellant deal for a £300 PVR & £75 standard installation

Most independants that I've seen are selling just the units at the RRP of £299.99 excluding install and becasue stocks are so low Flea-Bayers are charging well over £300!

In stock at Argos if you want to pay £293.59, getting hold of these is a bit difficult at the moment, I had been waiting 2 months to get one.
Excellent price at £275.10 great find.

I finally got one of these from Argos last weekend, they are amazing, no more arguments over who is watching what and when and we found a work around on the not having a duel satellite cable.

That's alright (for them) if you're in an area where you can get Freeview! We can't, nor are we projected to be able to receive it when they switch our transmitter off in May. Nor do we have cable TV facilities in our road.

A Freesat PVR is the only way forward for us, unless we want to pay Sky an inordinate amount of money every month for Sky+ and loads of channels we wouldn't watch (no kids, hate sport etc)!

Are you certain that was for this model WITH HD and PVR?

These things are £300 without a dish / installation and setup...
