D-Line range of AV trunking reduced from £29.99 to £9.99 and maybe £6.49 at Currys

£6.49

36°

FOUND BY: mminghella 9 months, 2 weeks ago

I was in St Helens branch of Currys today and decided to get the 4 pack of micro-trunking that is suitable for speakers, phone wire and other small wires. It was priced at £29.99, but reduced to £9.97. When I took it to the till, it scanned at £6.49

On their website, they have some reduced to £7.32

I know the £29.99 price is a joke and a while ago, I managed to get some for 47p, but for what it is, it seems like a very good deal to me.

The link takes you to similar stuff, but not all of the range is listed. They had plenty of stock too in store

Thanks. What's in a four pack? Does it have the skirting board stuff? How many metres?

I know its not the exact same stuff, but if you look on B&Q website for conduit you can find quite a range of it. The prices are very cheap, and you can basically build it to your spec i.e right angles, round corners etc.

Haven't voted for above reason.

It is 4 X 1500mm self-adhesive lengths with hinged and click-lock lids. There are also connectors if you want to join 2 lengths together. They can be stuck to walls, on top of skirting, on architraves or wherever you want really.

I'm actually surprised at how good the quality is

I believe i got about 10foot worth for about £6, so they are very reasonable.

I looked at the B & Q stuff and it seemed to be the basic click on and off top section. This has a hinged top, so you just peel it back to insert the wires. It also seems better quality, but horses for courses I suppose

this is a good price, but the original price is a rip off. B&Q sell the exact stuff (dline) for £12.99, as a normal price. So £6 is a good deal, half price pretty much.
Great stuff too, but be aware, you cannot get much in these! u struggle to get a decent quality speaker cable in it. You will basically just about fit satellite size cable in.
Its good stuff tho, looks alot better than normal rectangular stuff... looks good on top of skirting and down by the carpet.

I bought this from B&Q and it was hinged. Sounds like the same stuff to me.

Its amazing how many people find great deals and don't bother to post until someone else does

I've just done a quick search on B & Qs website and the D-Line stuff is all £12.98. Looks like mine is a good deal after all then!

Don't think anyone said you didn't have a good deal, just that there were other items that did the same job for a little less money. Your post has still generated some heat so i wouldn't take others suggestions as negative, just informative?
