Sky HD BOX WANTED S.O.S

Hi i order sky hd about 2 weeks ago everything was going well untill I went to reply to there email and book the instalation, I was told they could not do it as i had already had hd in late 07 (i paid £280 for this) i explained that i didn't have hd and got rid of it in early 08 (not many channels) and had a sky + box, they said there is nothing they can do as its only open to new hd customers......If i had got a discounted hd box first time i would understand there argument but i didn't and paid full price............;-(

Does anyone (prefer local to manchester) want to trade highly unlikely but i want a newish hd box poss trade as my sky+ is available.

I have written a email to complain but can't see me getting me far, cable is not available and not sure about top up t.v. I did reduce my package in a strop but that did not get me far either ( just saving money)

Any help is grateful

sky is really inconsistent in their offers. and im not impressed with some of the c/s staff.

i'm moving next week and i called the moving department, they wanted me to pay £60, i said no thanks. so called to cancel, for them to say they wouldn't charge me if i stayed with them, but i said no thanks again, i'll try virgin media instead. they need to learn how to gain customer loyalty.

cant you use your parteners maiden name?
Technically she has the birth certificate and everything else, bank account could be a problem, but if you really want it then it might be worth looking into?
