Nokia 5800 FOR EXISTING vodafone customers.

£175.00

50°

FOUND BY: rash 9 months, 1 week ago

Just got off the phone to Vodafone was looking at the Nokia 5800 cheapest price and not bothered about mins or texts.

Told them the Virgin Mobie £220 on PAYG deal and this is what the offered me:

12 months at £15 x 6 month, £20 x 3 month, £25 x 3 month. So £225 in total plus £50 after 3 months on my account. Total cost of £175. (50mins 150txt or 100mins 50txts)

OR

24 month contract at £10 per month discounted from £15 so £240, plus £50 credit after 3 months. Total cost of £190. With 200mins + unltd texts.

This is for existing customers, I'm not sure if it was sales, but I went through to disconnections and then said I wanted a new line with this phone.

Mention you want a new line, and mention the Virgin mobile offer - also say you have a Virgin credit card so you get 10% off i.e. £200 for the Nokia 5800.

THIS IS NOT AN UPGRADE!

Don't deals like this depend on how long you have been with Vodafone ?. When I was with them I was told that X years at X price helps your future discounts etc.

So may be customer specific.

It's not part of an upgrade. So how long you've been with them doesn't matter, but seems like a decent deal if you can squeeze it out of them.

Similar price to some cashback deals and on PAYG. However you get the minutes and it's also unlocked.

This is not to everyones liking of course and I suspect it won't get hot as its only available to existing vodafone customers.

Can't really see that at Virgin Mobile website right now - do you have a direct link?

The reason why I think it's a good deal - as this is NOT and upgrade! With an upgrade you should be able to get a much much better deal!

Not a good deal.

I wasn't even eligible for an upgrade - this is purely a second line and I was offered a better deal than you.

You got to push them a little - I mean this is really bad deal they are offering you.

Called for PAC today and was offered 100mins/100texts for £15 on 18months contract with free Nokia 5800. The offer came only after much negotiation + mentioning Tmobile deals on Phones4U (£15 on 18m). The sales person was quite agressive pressing me to take on the deal immediately and sounds quite offended when I said I would consider that but will not commit straight away. Not very happy with his attitude and hard sell technique......

Hello people. New here, just thought id add that during my last upgrade I had to phone up 4 times before I got a price I was happy with. My upgrade cost (for a N95) ranged from £67 - £180. Each call I was told that I wouldnt get a better offer. Just goes to show you have to be forceful yourself.

I phoned up Vodafone today.

I was offered a second line (18 months) with 150 minutes 500 txts and Unlimited Internet for

£15 first 3 months.
£20 next 12 months with a £50 credit.
£30 for the last 3 months.

£325 in total.

I have her phoning me back in an hour. It sounds quite good, any opinions?
