Good monitor and great price.

We've got 5 Acer monitors in the office and they are excellent.
They're on practically all the time and never had a problem with them at all.

Great build quality and image quality is pretty good.

Okay - so this does not have DVI but it's £119.00p for a good brand of monitor.

My housemate has this monitor, it is horrible. My eyes hurt when you try to read the text, it sort of moves a bit almost. Get one an inch smaller or a bit more expensive.

I'm assuming that he has configured it properly. There are different settings suited for text, pictures, video etc..

I've got the P223W version and it's great.

sound like he doesnt have the graphics card set-up properly - probably hasn't installed the drivers...
same thing happened to my ATI 4870 before i installed the Catalyst drivers - i normally see it after a fresh OS install

Sounds about right. The ghosting on my VGA Belinea 22" 1680*1050 monitor makes text slightly unpleasant. This screen, hm, 4.5% larger with a 14% greater resolution, it'd turn your text to the equivelent of about this size, with all the added ghosting effects suffered from pushing even more data down the wire. It wouldn't be pretty.

I have the P223W and its great. Its left on most of the time and ive never had any trouble with it. Just wish it had other outputs.

Na I tried it on my laptop and it looked the same. To be fair it might be faulty, sometimes jaggedy lines appear down it. I think they may be some kind of signal processing problem in it.

But besides you can just see it isn't as crisp as my Neovo or my samsung upstairs. yes partly because they are both DVI and I hate VGA but honestly this is not a good monitor. As I said you can get a slightly smaller one for the same price or getter a slightly more expensive one that is the same size. You will not regret it.
