Virgin trains have just released their cheapest (£1) tickets for the London-Manchester route up until April 30th. Get in early to book cheapest tickets, trains only take 2 hours 8 minutes.

Recently, there has been a bit of a worry coz of the use of Mobitix, but I'm sure for those who like to get this for £1 instead of the regular £65 plus single ticket, this may of some use

It's the one that only 1 in 10 mobiles can receive.....
It's a ticket sent to your mobile phone.....frustratingly not every phone works with this system.

I'm a bit confused though, i'm trying to book from manc to eus on say the 3 Apr, then return journeys the only option i have is from the 21 Apr... is this just because there is nothing available on the dates in between the 3rd and 21st?? please help!!

I can't seem to get it to let me come back on the same day. If I book from Man Picc to London 25/03 early in the morning to come back on the last train home, it won't let you. It goes to the next day!!

Is this right?
