£24.99

332°

FOUND BY: ODB_69 8 months, 3 weeks ago

£2.50 each...way better than the usual £3.99+ each

Send your lantern soaring to celebrate New Year, Weddings, Birthdays, Halloween, Bonfire Night, Diwali or any other special event. It will fly for up to 20 minutes and can rise over a mile in the sky - where it will still be visible all around!

Traditionally used in Chinese and Thai celebrations, these are a beautiful and fascinating way to light up the sky that's becoming increasingly popular throughout the world for any kind of event. Flying Lanterns are traditionally known as 'Khom Fay' or 'Khom Loy' in China and have been used for nearly two thousand years. It was believed that wishes written on lanterns would rise up to the heavens and come true.

The Sky Glow Flying Lantern is made from flame-retardant, bio-degradable materials and the frame is made from Bamboo - a wood that is quickly replenished. A quieter, gentler alternative to fireworks, flying lanterns are the safe, simple and perfect way to create an amazing visual display in the sky!

Made from flame resistant paper, it is 100% biodegradable
Fuelled for 15-20 minutes of flying time
Safety instructions:
Only use in very calm conditions.
Only use in open spaces and not near to buildings.
Not suitable for use by children under 16.
Never use near airports, under flight paths, near pylons or overhead cables.
Do not use near anything that may catch fire, such as dry crops or woodland.
Keep a fire extinguisher or bucket of water nearby.
This product is not a toy and should not be used by children.

One of the best parties I went to involved one of these lanterns setting fire to itself and landing in a tree, out of reach of any attempt to extinguish it.

"Do not use if you are under the influence of alcohol"

...then I cannot imagine any possible scenario where they would be of interest to me.

i bought 20 of these for £20 inc p&p off ebay and they arrived last week, let one off friday night and it too landed in neighbours tree, burnt for ages but luckily no major damage and neighbours were out! they are great bt they fly very very hgh and are fuelled by what is basically a fire lighter attached to the under neath.
not sure where we can lets others off! brilliant but health and safety nightmare.

bought ours after seeing ufo story in local paper which turned out to be two of these being let off

These are wonderful things. We set about ten off on New Years Eve in an open area (very important) and they looked utterly amazing - far better than a typical fireworks display in terms of spectacle. I think I paid about 3 pounds for each one so this is a bargain if you don't like ebay... but I'm pretty sure that they are the same product.

We'll be buying more this year, and this time I have a good digital SLR to take some good shots of the occasion.

Heated up!
