Been into Clearnce Bargains at Stanley today and found a bit of a bargain for budding musicians.
Clearance Bargains is the discount side of Argos and they only have 3 branches around the country so I appreciate that not everyone can take advantage of this one.

The link is to the identical outfit on the Argos website but their price is £130.
Blurb from Argos site:

Classic ST style solid body electric guitar in black.
Maple neck and rosewood fingerboard.
Solid wood body.
Tone and volume control.
3 single coil pick-ups.
Steel strings.
5-way selector switch and tremolo system.
Includes 10 watt RMS amplifier, nylon carry bag, strap, 10 feet guitar lead, 3 plectrums, 6 note pitch pipe and a spare set of strings.

May not be the best guitar in the world but it suits my son to see if he can grasp it before a fortune is spent.
Best bet is, my local Argos have stock for £130. A short drive up the A1 saved me £90.
