EXPIRED - For Sale: Sony Ericsson K750i - Unlocked

I have Sony Ericsson K750i which has been unlocked and flashed with W800 firmware. That means it's a K750i, but it has the features of a W800 (walkman, orange theme, etc). As it's unlocked, it will work on all networks.

It is working but there are a few things that I should mention:
- It has had a replacement fascia. The original one was black and is pretty scuffed up so I replaced it with a new silver one (third party). The replacement doesn't fit as well as the original as it's a cheap third party one.

- The camera cover, when slid open, should switch the phone into 'camera' mode. This doesn't happen anymore. The camera is still 100% working though, it's just the automatic switch-to-camera-mode-when-shutter-is-opened feature that isn't. You have to go to Menu, then Camera to go into Camera Mode instead.

- Joystick isn't as repsonsive as it used to be. I cleaned it out and improved the responsiveness so it only occassionally doesn't respond the first time you move it. If you've had a SE joystick phone before, you probably know this little niggle all too well, it's a very common problem.

The phone comes complete with box, mains charger, USB data cable and 64MB Pro Duo card. As I have 2 fascias (original scuffed black one and the new, not as good fitting silver one) I'll fit the one of your choice and throw in the other one for free.

I'll price it at £27.50 delivered.

Side view. Note the slight gap between the front fascia and the middle section of the phone. This is what I mean when I say it's not the best fit. The picture also shows the scuffing on the bottomright hand corner of the phone - similar scuffs are present on the other corners of the phone.


Original fascia. It fits better but as you can see it's in poor condition.

no worries mate, hope you sell it, its just that if i get the phone i would have to get a good case for it, i wouldn't want to keep the aftermarket one, and also the joystick is a slight put off, i know the issues they have, i used to have a k750i until it got stolen

I don't see why it wouldn't, it has worked with all the networks I've been with in the past (Orange, Virgin Mobile, Vodafone) and works with O2 too.

I shall see if I can get a hold of a 3 sim to test it out.

Edit: Just been searching on Google for an answer and it doesn't look like it will work I'm afraid. Reason being the K750i is a 2G phone and it won't operate on Three's 3G network, apparently. I'm unable to confirm this myself as I've rung around and nobody is on 3!

I'm sure my brother's used his 3 sim on a really old nokia before ? 3G is only for the features you can still call etc. can't you?

That would make sense.

I've read a bit more about it and apparently 3 used to block the your SIM if you persistently used it in a non-3 phone. Apparently this isn't the case anymore as they've relaxed their restrictions.

So, for the record I'm not 100% sure if this phone will work with 3 so people with a 3 SIM would be taking a risk in buying this phone unless someone can 100% confirm a 3 SIM works in any (2g or 3g) unlocked phone.

Just a reminder to all, this works on all networks except 3! It's had a SIM for all other networks in it at some point and has worked fine.
