Free iPhone to Skype phone calls from today with Skype

STARTS: 31/03/2009   

As the title says. From today you will be able to download the official iPhone version of Skype from the iTunes App Store and use it to make free calls to other Skype users over WiFi. You will also be able to make cheap calls to mobiles and landlines.

Initial testing of the app by myself have proven very good.

This is great for me because I work in the Far East and free WiFi is everywhere, so free calls here we come.

Please be aware that jailbroken iphone users are reporting crashing when using the iphone app. Simply open Cydia and download the new mobile substrate update to fix the crashing problem.

This app hasn't been getting the best write ups http://i.gizmodo.com/5190080/skype-c...ckberry-in-may . personally i would recommend Fring app for iphone which has done skype for 6 months already and also gives you access to instant messaging services like messenger.
