Transcode 360 does the same job and is free, but I suppose you are getting a cable for 99p so not a bad deal.

Err .... TVersity?

This is free software that I run on my PC and allows me to stream virtually any media to my 360 across the network.

Microsoft released updates after launch through Xbox Live that allowed you to stream DivX (avi) files and iTunes aac files to play on the console. This was probably released before that, and is now redundant. Also, free software is available (eg: TVersity) to allow you to stream and play most media on your 360 that it cannot natively handle.

Only useful for the cable and for those without access to Xbox Live (and have an old machine, aaannd cannot set up TVersity). Still, 99p for the cable isn't too bad

If I were to add files to a USB stick AVI, will these play when plugged into the USB on my 360?
