I was looking for the cheapest card I could find to play in my car stereo as I missed the CDiscount deal. Only class 4 but I don't nead anything quicker.

Kingston Technology's Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) memory cards are fully compliant with the new Secure Digital Association 2.00 specification. They are a new performance class of SD memory cards designed to meet the storage demands of high-quality digital still and video cameras and other high-resolution image recording devices.

Thought I ought to edit it since price went up 30p from £5.29 (good spot mikeyp)

Finally got the heat it deserved! I also got the Transcend class 6 4gb card and it works great in my TomTom V2!!!

This is a very cheap deal but I have had a lot of compatibility issues with Kingston/Transcend SDHC cards. They don't get detected on some computers / need formatting again / they don't work out of the box!

Personally, from my own experience, I havn't had any grief with sandisk SD cards. They have worked straight from teh box - no issues. Maybe it will help somebody!

Suggest testing card with a reader on your PC.

I ordered 2 Transcend & 1 Kingston card - all fine for me, 2 for cameras one for TomTom. All work fine. I am using a SanDisk card reader to test them though. Could be a dodgy card reader rather than the card? SanDisk cards are good, but the class 6 ones are way more expensive than these!!!

I think it may be a compatibilty issue with my car radio. I had a spare standard SD card and copied the same music to both. The radio plays the SD card fine but not the SDHC one. The manual states they can't guarantee compatibility with all SHC cards and recommend Sandisk or Panasonic. My computer picked it up fine.

Might be because the Kingston is class 4. Your radio most prob only supports SDHC cards with higher read speeds. My TomTom is like this, which is why I bought a class 6 card.

The fact ur PC picks it up suggests the card is fine.
