The Samsung SM2032MW is the perfect monitor/analogue TV combo.
With a super fast response time of 5ms and an intense pixel resolution of 1680 x 1050 this Samsung LCD is perfectly suited to gaming and TV alike.
Given its dual role in life, you'd expect this 20" Samsung HD LCD to be well equipped with sockets, and that's exactly what it is. For PC sources there's a choice of analogue VGA, DVI and, of course HDMI. The latter two work equally for video sources, while other sources are catered for by the component, S-Video, SCART and composite inputs. In short, there's not much that can't be connected to the 2032!
In addition to its supreme flexibility, this 20 inch LCD TV is also something of a looker. With its high gloss black finish and typically soft edges, the SM2032MW is sleek and sexy and makes most other 20" screens look positively crude by comparison. The resolution is 1680x1050 but will accept full 1080i HD via HDMI. Not sure how this works - but the SKY HD picture is excellent! I bought this a while ago, and paid £179.99 for it - a bargain even then as Currys had it was £239.99 It's only got an analog tuner, but the connections available is staggering for a small monitor-style screen. I have Sky HD connected via HDMI @ 1080i, X360 via VGA, and PC VIA VGA as a second monitor (my cheap PC monitor doesn't support HDCP so I need this connected!) The picture quality is very good, and although the stand is a nightmare to put together, build quality seems decent enough. -------------- You can buy online, or in the stores - just remember to ask them for the web price. They will also refund you your parking fee if you are a genuine potential customer (even if you don't buy anything). I've got this TV/monitor and couldn't be happier with it! Paid £179.99 for it in Sept 08 so this is HOT imo!
 I believe it produces a 1080i (and 1080p i think) picture by scaling the sides of the screen a bit. When I use my PS3 on it, the sides of the game are cut off slightly. 720p is fine though and that's good enough for me. p.s. it does have a headphone jack, on the left hand side..
