£11.66

I called o2 retentions as i'm due for an upgrade, to see if they could match with current 'hot deal' for sim only. they offered me the above with £150 credit, i have been a o2 customer for only 11 months!, If your a bit wary of the £110 from quidco, then this is not so bad, as it works out to be £11.66 per a month.

If the contract is for 18 months then you're still better off with the other deal, no?

£20 pm x 18 months - £150 credit = £210

£210 divided by 18 months = £11.6 pm

I guess the 150 credit is NOT by quidco. when you upgrade your existing contract with o2, the team asks which mobile you are intersted in, when you say no thanks to mobile to compensate that they may offer you 150 credit.

There is nothing like a DEAL about it. trust me when i upgraded my mobil ein september last year, i had gotten a 25GBP tariff discounted to 10 a month for my loyalty and for not wanting a new mobile they offered me a credit of 150, so effectively making it only 30GBP OVER A PERIOD OF 18 months (if i dont go over my allowance of 200 xnet mins and 400 texts + 20 Xnet mins as o2 treats PLUS 12 MONTHS FREE 8GB O2 HOME BROADBAND WITH FREE WIRELESS ROUTER).

so i dont call it a deal. rather it is confusing many as just like you thinking as if this 150 was a quidco cashback.

uff.....better visit moneysavingexpert on o2 retentions deals where people discuss about what been offered to them and why......

THIS DEAL IS EXCLUSIVELY FOR EXISTING 02 CUSTOMERS WHO ARE NEAR THE END OF THEIR CONTRACT TERM, MEANING ITS AN UPGRADE DEAL.

After spending the best part of the day faffing with so called phone contract "UPGRADES"...

I cannot stress this highly enough but if you're phone contract is due for upgrade, (and you think you're getting a good upgrade deal) try to get through to the retentions department of your service provider or network for the absolute best deals. Sim card only deals without a phone are usually cheapest. The easiest way to get through to retentions (aka customer loyalty) is to ask to cancel your contract. At this stage they will try almost everything in their power to keep you as a paying customer (no matter how little you pay!).

Good luck everyone.

OK, just got off the phone and got:

200mins + 400 texts on a 18 month contract at 9.50ish per month inc Vat.

£150 credit, making it £1.20ish per month. I am happy.
