That's the home office page which talks about the free home pack, there's a list of what the pack contains, including the discount vouchers.

Useful reading as its not quite as simple as the title here says:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...chers-B-Q.html

From today, householders are invited to call a government hotline offering a coupon giving up to 15 per cent off the DIY chain's security products.
They will also be sent a pack containing top tips on how to keep out burglars, such as remembering to close doors and windows and leave on a light if going out for the evening.
The Home Secretary hopes that fitting cut-price window locks will also help to keep burglars at bay.

Families who have already been burgled - as well as their neighbours - will be given a second, separate Community Support Fund discount card by the police, offering 10 per cent off items sold by Focus DIY.

And in a further move, 45,000 'vulnerable' individuals in 90 burglary hotspots will benefit from a £6million Safer Homes fund to pay for local ' handypeople' to fit window locks and other security devices

The vouchers, funded by B&Q itself, initially offer discounts of 10 per cent, rising to 15 per cent if more than £50 is spent.
The second discount is available only to burglary victims and their neighbours, while the 'handypeople' scheme is likely to be limited to the elderly, students and those on benefits.

15 per cent off the DIY, that will get everyone rushing out to buy locks to secure their houses. This is as good as the VAT cut.

Maybe Jacqui Smith should pay back some the expenses she has been claiming on her home over the years, then the needy and those on benefits can get free locks installed.

lol brilliant!!! I think Jacqui Smith and the rest of the spongers should be sacked. They have the nerve to have a go at people on benefits but they're not helping the country IMO and they're still being paid, and they're getting this allowance on top!!!!!!!! So technically going to another building, sat there drinking tea, checking their emails and paid £130,000+ a year!!! Ok form an orderelly queue behind me for a job there

cold as title is completely wrong if you only get 15% off at B&Q. They are normally twice the price of cheaper places anyway!
