EXPIRED - £25 off a slingbox Solo or Pro from Amazon UK

84°

FOUND BY: sunil1234 7 months, 1 hour ago

Discount:
£25
Minimum Spend:
£0.00
Promotional Code:
SLINGUP2
Expiry:
Add an expiry date
Applies to:
Slingbox Solo, Slingbox Pro
Instructions:
Thats right, use code "SLINGUP2" when going through checkout to get £25 off the Solo or Pro. Havent tried it with any other sling accesories or with non-Amazon merchants

Makes the solo around £86.90 delivered and the Pro £144.99

Note, the Pro has ben discontinued in the USA and replaced by the ProHD. Thats why i just went for the Solo for now.

The UK promotion is to entice Slingbox classic users etc to move to the new products, similar to the $50 rebate in the USA but in the USA, other merchants sell it cheaper than Slingmedia direct even after the $50 discount that is only valid on their own webshop!. This code for the UK is already against a very competitive price from Amazon UK

Ordered the Solo myself earlier this week. Now waiting for iphone app to be approved by Apple!

Please dont post asking what a Slingbox is!. Google it or search the older threads :-)

direct link to slingbox pro

I had the original slingbox a few years ago and it worked pretty well... great on an internal network, but the quality degraded somewhat when the internet got used to transmit the picture.

Aww I love my SlingboxPRO with my TytnII running Slingplayer Mobile. I have moved house and not got a BB connection set up yet so missing it!

Great deal. If you want to stream remotely then go for the Solo. The HD is only really of benefit if watching on the laptop on the home network. Or if you want multiple inputs and built in Freeview.

The Solo will work fine for streaming your existing Virgin/Sky but if you use your TVs built in Freeview you would need to get the Pro.

T-Mobile as TytnII is HSDPA and streams nicely. Never had any problem with downloading over a 1Gb on the device.

And it's rude to ask for rep

Thanks. Solo ordered.

Anyone any idea as to how long the Sling App should normally take to get the OK from Apple, and get released to purchase for the iPhone?

Lol, no probs!

I have the Web and Walk internet add on for the phone. I pay £7.50 per month but think it is only £5 to add it on now. They have a good deal on Flext 35 with free internet all for £31.50 on certain handsets.

T-Mob is good as if you were to go way over the allowance they would write to you rather than charge you. If you keep going over they could slow your connection speed.

BTW for anyone wanting to buy Slingplayer Mobile I bought it through the US site. It was cheaper due to the rate of exchange but prob not the case now. Still worth comparing how much it will be in $,£ or Euros.

Hmmm, Ok, you will need at least a decent broadband connection at either end. The TV box in China will need to have scart, SVHS or component outputs to connect to the Slingbox.

Slingplayer software has default remote control settings for various boxes and Sky etc. You will need to try to find out if you can programme in manual commands so your relative can at least use the channel up and down command. That might be your main issue. Getting the software to send functional remote commands.
