My friend has one of these and it's pretty decent for the price.....
Especially while prices seem to be going up!!

If it makes the purchaser happy then that's fine but I've seen deals on Panny, Sony & Samsung all around this price and I would go for these before Kodak.
As always a high mpixel count doesn't mean a better picture, often it means a higher resolution rubbish one and the link I posted suggests that the quality of the picture is suspect on these models.
Whether this is visible to the casual observer is another question of course but why take the chance?
