This is a terrible sale. I was worried that the items I ordered yesterday would have been massively reduced, but it seems hardly anything has been, and half of the reductions have already been in place for weeks.

Cold.

ASOS are turning into a right bunch of tight wads... got the 'sale' email myself this morning, so I clicked on and it's all the same tatt they've had on for ages... and they rarely have any decent discount codes!!!!

Ordered two tops and a pair of jeans for £22 delivered, so hot from me.

Although in my email I received from ASOS it said "up to 50% off and free delivery" - I presume this is just the normal £75 and over deal and not free delivery on everything? No mention of a spending limit in the email though.

I'm not surprised, their NET profit last year was just over 5m, on £81m turnover, thats an appaling (IMO) 6.17%. The 'standard' markup on clothing is in excess of 50%, they aren't operating efficiently enough to offer decent discount codes!

If you look their revenue and gross profit it's 165M to 71M so very close to your 50% "markup". (Year 2008/2009)

Operating profit is very different to markup. They made 13M from the 165M revenue. That's ok compared to my sector of construction that often operates as low as 3%

Considering retail had a terrible second half year they haven't done too badly at all.

a 50% sale is always worth heat, shame i can only find one thing i like in my size
if i could find something else i may order it

buying one thing is not worth the delivery charge
