I used to work for PCW - took a year to find a way out of the dump but I have not once looked back...hated it so much.

When I got folk coming in for printer and ethernet cables I was the worst salesguy - always told them they could be had for less than a quid online or <25% at local PC stores. Cables at PCWorld = pure margin. Sometimes selling that one cable along with a printer got more of a profit than on some laptops...it was insane.

"Pray on the computer illiterate" - that's PCWorld's motto. Anyway, im drifting off... 62p from a store is a damn good price for these! Cant be much cheaper on the usual websites but too tired to double check.

It's actually £19.99 in-store as I had to order some for a company personally. I didn't buy it from them though.

Rep for that

I'm sure you meant 'Prey', but similarly those that buy cables at such exorbitant rates would need some 'praying on' as well

Great price!

As for PC World et al - I've sometimes wondered why printers seem to be the only peripherals (that I can think of, anyway) that come without cables. I can only assume that the printer manufacturers have come to an agreement with the major retailers like PCW to sell them without cables so that they can attract customers with low headline prices and make their margin on the cables.
