EXPIRED - Pre-Order Wii Sports Resort with Motion Plus at Play.com for £39.99 (or £36.79) (RRP £49.99) delivered

£39.99

FOUND BY: magicjay1986 11 months, 1 week ago

A brand new version of Wii Sports that offers gamers a day at the beach. This sequel to the popular Wii Sports makes use of the Wii MotionPlus accessory, which gives players the most responsive and realistic experience possible. The Wii MotionPlus accessory, which is included with Wii Sports Resort, plugs into the base of the Wii Remote controller and, combined with the accelerometer and sensor bar, provides an experience that gives players an even greater sense of immersion.

Just as with Wii Sports, people will love competing against friends and family. As the competition heats up, Wii Sports Resort is as much fun to watch as it is to play. First-time players will find it easy to pick up a Wii Remote and jump into the action. Wii Sports Resort takes place on a tropical island. A wide range of activities will keep players coming back for one more round. Some sample activities include Sword Play, Power Cruising (racing a water scooter) and Disc Dog, which involves accurately tossing a disc to a cute, Mii-like dog.

Nintendo are set to release a new attachment for the Wiimote called ‘Wii Motion Plus’.

The idea behind this is to improve the responsiveness of the Wiimote and make every little movement count and make it a true 1:1 experience.

All you need to do it plug the Motion Plus into the bottom of the Wiimote to give you a more realistic control over what you do on screen.

People thought that is was the games that weren’t making use of the Wiimote properly (ie Red Steel), but it turns out that the remote wasn’t as responsive as it could be, hence the Wii Motion Plus.

It’s set to be released with Wii Sports Resort which features a set of new games and events that make particular use the increased accuracy of the Wii Motion Plus.

I have amended the title. This can be had after cashback for £36.79.

The Game reward points do not stack up to much.

Wow!
I have just called them and they have confirmed that is the correct price and they are offering it at that price as they are "getting a good deal" on it.

If I was you I would post that as a deal yourself. Seems amazing to me.

feel free to post it with my blessing.

I'm really not keen on the company, every single time I've done anything with them its been just a little bit dodgy so i dont feel particularly comfortable recommending them.

I knoiw that they've done OK by just about everyone else in the world though.

Are any of you still using the wii then?

I'm interested as I bought my kids one the other Christmas and although at first they loved it, it doesn't seem to hold their interest, same with all the games that I've bought, Mario Kart springs to mind here.... had it on pre order, they were really looking forward to getting it, but a fortnight or so later they were bored of it.

We have an Xbox 360 and that gets far more play..

Yes, especially as Shopto do not honour pre-order prices. They will charge what they fancy when it is released, and email to check that you still want it. If you ordered @ £22.99 and they decide it is going to be £29.99 when they actually supply it, that is the price you will be paying.

Does this mean you won't be able to use the nunchuck then?
