Paypal account hacked and money stolen from bank account.

Hi there

So i wake up this morning and check my online banking to find that over £1200.00 has been taken from my bank account after my paypal account got hacked.

Paypal are saying that the payments have been stopped and will be refunded in 7-9 days.

Am not sure how this can f*ing happen and paypal are being completely useless.

If someone can help me or if this has happened to you please can you get in touch or post to the wall.

the ONLY way your account would be hacked if you GAVE your password out ....

paypal has secure servers so your password CANNOT be intercepted....

you have either clicked a fake email link from "paypal" or actually told someone your password...

log into paypal (if you can) and make your password secure.... IF you can't login then email or ring paypal and they will go through the methods of setting a new password and giving you access back...

and a handy tip ...... if you recieve any email from paypal ......... never ever click a link ... always type www.paypal.co.uk in your browser window ...... this goes the same for bank emails and ebay...

be safe with your passwords as its your money being used

Yes they did. Still doesnt help me and theres no guarantee or confirmation this going to happen. Im still left with zero cash until this happens.

paypal are always good with this ..... they have to do checks and then recover the money so 7 days wait for the op's money is fair ......
