Network is proud to release a compilation of the best live performances from the first series of The Tube the groundbreaking and anarchic Friday night music programme hosted by Jools Holland and Paula Yates. As well as featuring up-and-coming acts, The Tube also played host to a number of well-established groups giving live performances which, for the most part, have not been seen since their original transmission and have never been released in any format before now. The live spirit of the series (first broadcast on Bonfire Night 1982) is further underlined with the inclusion of live interviews and behind the scenes footage, as well as original linking sequences from Jools and Paula.

With this volume including sets from The Jam (in their last performance), Culture Club, Robert Palmer, Soft Cell, Iggy Pop, Depeche Mode, The Stranglers, Thin Lizzy, Madness, The Eurythmics and The Undertones, this will undoubtedly be THE music DVD release of the year.

This long-awaited and highly-anticipated release will appeal to anyone who likes eighties music, collectors of live performances, people who bought DVDs such as the multiple volumes of THE OLD GREY WHISTLE TEST and classic television fans.

They insist on WORLDPAY?

I have no knowledge of this system of payment. ANYONE?

Also,
Interesting. Who lives in SOLAR WAY?

Postcode that was showing when I followed the link.

Hi rizla01

Network supply HMV/Play/Amazon/Hut etc with their DVD's. They deal in the older stuff. So nothing to worry about from Network.

Also, Worldpay is fine and AOK also

Regards Andy

Thanks for the r-assurance.

Ordered it now so I'd better like it more than the last OGWT one that i got.

Used to be addicted to both, ESP the tube.

They used to record the show live on a Friday night in Newcastle . . we used to go there before rock night at the Mayfair before they closed it down . . . good times. Remember some class performances from bands like Ozzy, Twisted Sister, The Tubes etc. . .

Voted hot for a fantastic piece of nostalgia, that I wish they would re-run. . it wouldn't be a problem now with all the channels available.
