It's ok for the price, but it feels like half a film. It gets to the end credits and you're left wondering where the rest of the film is.
It's based on 1/3 of a trilogy. The book also ends like this, but unfortunately because of poor film revenues they are unlikely to make the other 2 books.

They actually end it before the book ends. That's why it doesn't feel right. They wanted a happy ending - but the book doesnt really have one! This of cause ruined the impact of the story and made the film err... pants

The book doesn't end like the film! they are missing the last third of the first book in the film!

Shame if they decide not to make the other 2 films, I really enjoyed it
II enjoyed the film, in terms of storytelling for kids it has a feel of quality about it. Maybe the gap of opinion is from those that have read the book and those that haven't. I haven't so I've no reference as to whether its faithfully adapted, although the consensus seems that it isnt! Shame that.
Can someone please tell me why Amazon refuses to order items by price correctly. Despite offering that option in their "search drop down box". It ALWAYS puts them in the wrong price order.
