Hello all,
I bought one of the Tesco Acer Blueray laptops and was looking to extend the warranty on it. I found the Aceradvantage 2 year extended drop and collect warranty for £26 delivered. Although it's drop and collect I believe there are a large amount of drop in centres and if you aren't close you can always courier it in to get it fixed. Warranty covers parts and labour and is 2 years on top of the manufacturers warranty so giving 3 years in total. Worth the money even if it's only the PSU that dies.

Edit: £26 adds 1 more year not 2 years as detailed above. Still not bad though.

Looks worthwhile - looking for a new laptop for my wife (seems like a fair exchange) and this might make us look at Acer.

Unfortunately, I've found it hard to get Acer to pay up with my warranty, but it is a hot offer if you can get them to fix it (just my humble opinion & in my experience)

I would go for tghis is they bothered to give a list of repair centres. There may well be 'many' but it isnt much good if they're all in London!

As it's an insurance I assume you can return it if it's no good within 14 days.

Once mine turns up I will list the drop in centres.

Heat..... Gr8 price for an extended warranty. Just bought the 3yr one for my bargain 6530 from Tesco's recent clearance including ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE and Laptop Case from Acer (Plkatinum Package for £79... Was £125 from Tesco?

Unfortunately my housemate took exception to his Acer before this offer came on. Reckon they'll fix it if we tape up this cardboard box and stick a couple of chocolate bars in there as a sweetener?



Good deal by the way! Applecare cost me £58 as a student but is usually about the same price as the original £125.
