I can confirm it works an absolute treat! (just did it on my k850)

It took me a while to work it out so here's the run down:
  1. Download software
  2. Open software
  3. Hit settings and fill in your user and password
  4. Select phone from drop down lick and press unlock.
  5. Turn your phone off, remove the battery and put it back in (DON'T TURN IT BACK ON)
  6. connect the USB cable whilst you hold 2 and 5 on the keypad
  7. if it comes up with software installer, navigate to the drivers dirctory that comes with the software download. it will then install generic USB drivers.
  8. Let it run. when complete it will say successful with a green tick and you can disconnect.
You phone is now unlocked
