Same offer that was on until end of March. Been waiting for this to come back. It restarted on Friday 1/5/09 and ends on the 28th.

As always: basically if you transfer your account you get a £100 credit, provided you meet the not too difficult criteria. You must fund at least £500 per month to the account and you must use their transfer service to switch, and you must also have a direct debit to switch.

Rubbish - I STILL have a cash card, nationwide won't give me a debit card even though I have a brilliant credit rating! Would have loved to have done this :(

Well thats crap, I only got £50 for signing up!! (Great for new customers though).

I did however sign up when it was 8% AER so have got a lot of credit from them

there overdraft fines are good too, free matched overdraft for the first 12 months (mine is £1000) and then a maximum of £5.00 per month there after. Beats HSBC's virtually 20% rip off they do on any overdraft!!

I moved to A&L over 3 years ago from Smile and the banks been fine. The only weakness I find is that they don't have a 'contact - email' through online management, so you need to call them which can be annoying. However, you do get your statements online in different format to download and can be easily imported to XL or other app.

Im not sure about that, on all dealings with them there customer service has been very good. The only down point is the phone menu you have to get through to speak to an operator but they answered instantly and dealt with the problem very quickly (question about a recent input of money to my account which I did not recognise, phoned them yesterday at 6pm)

I have a bank account I only use to pay for Sky (i.e. my salary doesnt go in there). Could I use that account, and manually put the £500 in each month thus keeping my Barclays account for main use?
