Hi all,

I'm guessing many of us will already be aware of this card and the wonderment of it (or perhaps the stupidity of ATI!).

Basically, the new ATI 4770 is a budget card price wise, but with massive bang for your buck. ATIs pricing has effectively placed it at a RRP of about £10-15 less than the older 4850, and this card is a match or beats the 4850 on most benchmarks.

This link is not so much a phenomenal deal for the 4770 - it is the cheapest I can find, but certainly not by much. However, for the power of the card it is a steal!

Cold voters as usual....guys, no problem with cold voting, but please do say why!

I dont believe this card can be acquired cheaper at a reputable merchant (Eclipse computers are £3 less, but there are many horror stories on here about them).

Good point about Novatech, and also fair point about the price - it certainly isnt cheap compared to others. The post was more to make people aware of the card in comparison to the 4850.

Havent bitten the bullet yet myself, waiting to see if I get the expired Play deal on the 8800GT - but if I dont will be snapping this up!!

Exactly, this may be a good card for the price but this is basically its normal retail price so the deal is cold

We will have to agree to differ on that one I guess, if a product is at its normal retail price then it is not a deal so will get voted cold by me, I thought this site was about finding bargains/products at cheaper prices than normal which this isn't

I didn't say cold ...maybe not so hot.

For someone entitled to free delivery from Scan, the deal still can be attractive (quicker delivery than Novatech's super saver).CS is superb at both retailers
