Thought it would be useful for many!

Virgin media have launched service V-Stuff which provides online backup to virgin media customers. Depending on broadband service of customer, one is offered 5/10 GB or unlimited online storage.

This online space can be used for regular backup as well as storage.

As part of incentive virgin is offering 25/50/100 free photo prints (I guess through snapfish) and free shipping for 3 times.

More on terms and conditions

Freezing cold.

This backup service could easily put customers over their meter limits and put the user on a cap for the rest of the day.

free prints, free online storage can not go wrong with that. Regarding daily limits you will be uploading. I don't think they will cap anyone for uploading data...may be for downloading!

LOL, dream on mate.

You can be capped for uploading as little as 100MB, about 30 photos from a modern camera. Cold cold cold

I dare not calculate how long it would take to upload your backups with the limits that are in place.

hm not sure if this is individual experience. I have uploaded lots of photos and movies. The speed varies at peak time but no issues other then that. I am sure you must have spoken to cust care.

I don't think you actually understand what I am telling you at all.

well all I can suggest is use v-stuff in non peak hours then. It is inconvenience if you are capped but useful service none the less.
