Reduce the internal operating temperature of the 360 while prolonging the consoles lifespan.

The Intercooler 360 is a snap on cooling attachment that easily connects to the Xbox 360 to significantly reduce the internal heat of the console.

The Intercooler 360 provides increased air flow throughout the 360 which allows the internal circuitry to perform at cooler temperatures and last longer.

Terrible things with all kinds of issues

Much better opening and cleaning the boxs, and replacing the stock fans with some Talismoon replacements (about £10)

Voted hot - although I don't think they work, it's irrelevant - it's a good price.

Are they quieter then normal, a lot? as I have the standard ones my xbox has no warranty and would love to quiet it down for games and movies. Though I feel it maybe the dvd rom drive that makes the noise.

Well using one of these invalidates the warranty afaik. They dont work and damage the system, the idea is completely flawed and dont even see how these came on sale. Think about it, shove 2 fans over 2 fans and what do you get? No change and i bet these spin at a different RPM which destroys the airflow from the internal fans and maybe the fans are blowing air into the system? If they do then that is pumping the hot air back into the system and fighting the internal fans.

Dont buy this crap product, im not voting.

i wouldn't bother if you have either the Falcon or Jasper chipset - they run much much cooler then the old Xenons (& quieter).

It is the DVD drive that makes all the noise, not the fans ... and (AFAIK) most of the problems with over-heating 360's are those that didn't allow theirs to be properly ventilated.

They work by assisting the internal fans to run at a faster rate - airflow is still the same way (i.e exhausting air). In the same way you can blow onto a fan to make it spin, these work in conjuction with the airflow currently in place.

The trade-off is awful tho - the extra noise means you'll want to hide it away somewhere which defeats the purpose since it won't have ventilation.

Well overheating 360s WILL be down to lack of airflow, but has little to do with the RRoD.

Yeah they sound a lot quieter to me, though you can certainly still hear them.

DVD drive is louder than anything though on older models. Changing the fans wouldn't make that much of a difference overall to the noise, but would make your system run cooler

As soon as i bought one of these I noticed a difference:

My xbox made my room sound like Manchester airport, and it seemed to overheat and freeze noticeably more than without them.
