For those of you who'd rather have this hitachi than the samsung from the other deal. Mind you it's only 16mb cache. You need free delivery for it to be this cheap by signing up to the forums.

Pretty sure this drive is one of a very small selection that work in the Samsung Sky HD box.

I have this drive and it is by far the noisiest of my three 1TB drives (others being a WD Green Power and the Samsung F1). Personally for storage usage I thing the WD Green Power seems the best to me, but it will cost you around £10 more.

This hard disk is rather slow... I should know cos I have one. Just bought a Samsung F1 cos I ran out of space.

this is hot. I have a few of these drives and I like them.

I brought my first samsung in sept 2008 and it died within a month and I lost my OS partition which I had to rebuild, swore never to buy another Samsung again.
