iRobot Roomba 560 Programmable Robotic Vacuum Cleaner Instore MAKRO £218.49

£218.49

-71°

FOUND BY: ElBuc 6 months, 1 week ago

STARTS: 15/05/2009   EXPIRES: 15/05/2010

Look it up for more info and if you can find it for less than £237 then post it here and vote cold - otherwise vote hot or don't vote. Actually do what you want, I don't care :)

Look on youtube for loads of videos of it in action.

I posted this before when it was cheaper but that only lasted a week or two... this one runs instore at Makro from May 20 - June 2 but it will sell out quickly.

Seems rather a hostile start to the posting. Was this really necessary? If it is a good deal it will rise on its merits.

I'm very tempted with this... especially since someone posted the Roomba Driver cat video link on here a while back

Can it traverse small steps within a room - i.e. from a wooden floor onto a rug?

Lol, price doesn't wholly make a deal hot or not. Just coz it's the cheapest around doesn't make it a good deal, infact I think it's pretty cold - could buy a good dyson for that price and properly hoover your place.

Not voting either way, only cold in my opnion.

Cos that's how the voting should work

One man's meat is another man's poison and all that. Some people don't want a Dyson they want a robotic hoover that does the work for them. If it can't be bought elsewhere cheaper then it shouldn't be cold

There should be some kind of intelligence test before you get to vote on here. People vote things -1000 because multiple items have been posted using the same voucher codes (nevermind the highlighted deal might actually have bypassed some people and is of interest) while someone posts a cheap vibrator and the children come out in force cos we seem to still live in a time where sex toys provoke childish giggles

I would love a robot hoover and would be interested in buying one. The problem with these models are they are very poor at doing the job intended, does anyone know of a better robot hoover?

Sorry to be picky, but these robot hoovers aren't ANYTHING like as powerful as a normal hoover - I'm not talking just about the 2KW figure some hoovers boast, but the suction on these small battery powered ones is not enough to do a proper vac around. I dunno, if they were £50 I might be tempted (got a laminate floor to which they're quite suited) ... but at £200+ they seem pricey.

We have a Roomba and I can thoroughly recommend it - the only thing it is not good with is rugs. You need to lift them first, in most cases. We have the 530 model though, and it has been brilliant. We paid between £175 and £180 for it several months ago.

Our Roomba cleans just as effectively as our Dyson, and better in some circumstances. We now only use the dyson for rugs and the staircases.

I kind of knew this would go cold - that's why I didn't waste my time with loads of info - just hope that those in the know will be able to snap up a pretty good deal, especially if they were just about to spend £265 for one at Amazon.
