Never really understood the market for cheap full suspension downhill bikes, this certainly isn't capable as being used as a proper downhill bike.

If you just want a cheap bike for kicking around on you can pick up a hardtail for the same price or less and it will be half the weight of this monster........

agreed - budget FS is more fuss than its worth - extra weight and more moving parts to go wrong.

Its nothing to do with bike snobbery....
Its just that most people who know about mountain bikes know a rubbish bike deal when they see it.

so when you were 12 you had an all singing all dancing bike??

ffs its £100 for a bike to get you from a to b, if you want offroading etc etc then pay for it but that isnt what this deal is offering, its offering a £100 NEW bike so yes you are being snobbish and if your sigs anything to go by you should know better, those bikes arent the best build quality either

For a start full sussers are predominantly designed for downhilling. This spec of bike definitely wont be up to that. Also full sussers have rubbish pedal force to momemtum due to the frame rear suspension compressing on the downward pedal stroke... and finally steel is heavy so it makes the riding even harder.
If you want a bike for general use and riding on the road as well as on tracks, then you get a hardtail... and preferably with an alloy frame.
This bike is a complete waste of £100.... and i think the voting on this deal confirms that.

£100 is way OTT hence cold votes. They were selling similar bikes for £50 a few months ago. Once you've been on a decent bike, then you wouldn't dream of going on one of these.

I certainly wouldnt give one of these to a child unless you have no conscience and wont be bothered when it breaks apart on them.

we should have an alarm for bike snobs lol
give a kid a £3/400 specialized and after a few drops, kicks from balls when its used as goalposts and see how many fragile bits break
for £100 you could just throw away and start again, gee whizz theres no pleaseing some folks, you dont always have to spend £100's to get from a to b
i have a several hundred ££ bike and its been in the shops soooo many times its unreal, if id spent less id just throw away and start again

oh and this is all without some so and so pinching it while the 12 year old leaves it outside a shop, would you folks give kids an iphone too so the local bully can batter them and pinch that also, maybe they could ride away on the expensive bike youve just bought em ???
