MBNA run credit card BE WARNED

After the offer its 1 point per pound or 2 points if spent at play ie 1% on normal spending 2% from play

OK if you use Play a lot but better of with a tesco card for clubcard points

Are there any charges associated with taking out a Play CC?

Rather them than GE Capital. I've never had any problem with MBNA.

Lol at some of the comments. This type of card is ideal for people who don't get into debt, but still want to use a credit card for additional protection it provides on purchases and the rewards like the points here. I previously had a similar Amazon card which I pay off each month (Got charged interest once in three years when I forgot to pay it off before I left the country for a bit) and got around £100 in free vouchers to spend on Amazon. If you want a card to rack up debt on/balance transfer, etc I'm sure there are better deals available. This card is for sensible people in other words

Hot from me - its well known that its easy to take advantage of these free offers.

They arent encouraging you to get into debt - that is your own choice. If you take out the card and pay it off in full at the end of each month, then £15 for nothing.

Hot - dont vote cold on your own lack of budgeting skills!!

I know, spend £150, pay it off, get the £15 voucher and bin the card. Bit of a no brainer really.

I would have thought a free £15 voucher would be welcome in these 'troubled' times. Obviously not

Same! I don't understand, but it's ok. Those of us that are savvy will take the money and leave

It's not encouraging people to get into debt at all. You only have to spend £50 a month which you would have spent anyway on this card instead of your usual debit card or cash. Pay it off in full every month, get your voucher then cancel the card.
Heat and rep from me.

Me either really, I was warning people it was MBNA mainly because they most probably have an MBNA card already I only found out I had 2 by accident myself Homebase and Old Abbey visa, MBNA do Virgin cards etc..... as well as others

I have not voted hot or cold, it is a free £15 quid as you all say and there is 9 months interest free too, but I prefer using my Tesco's card and getting free holidays and RAC membership etc..... with all my vouchers

This is hot if there are no fees on the card. I'll take this out before my next big purchase, get the voucher then cancel the card.
