Sendai Universal Sat Nav Mat - half price £9.78 @ Halfords using Reserve & Collect

£9.78

87°

FOUND BY: Den38 5 months, 3 weeks ago

Turn your windscreen mount into a dashboard mount. Ideal for use in larger vehicles where the windscreen is further away, enabling you to keep your Sat Nav within easy reach. Also this avoids leaving suction cup rings on your windscreen.
Features and Benefits

* Suitable for majority of cars with dash board
* Keeps Sat Nav with in easy reach in larger vehicles
* Suitable for majority of models
* Avoid suction cup marks on your windscreen

I bought one of these last week for my Navigo as although you do still use the mounting bracket it reduces the strain on the widely reported fragile clip of the Navigo.
It also means you can move the sat nav easily to avoid sun glare and obviously no suction marks on the windscreen.

I went round several roundabouts and sharp bends and it didn't budge despite my dashboard being a rather slopey design.

£19.57 instore but £9.78 using reserve & collect.

Ah, just bought a TT940 so this could be ideal. Is it a bean bag top or does it have a flat area for the windscreen holder to suction on to? On the TT940 the power cable plugs in to the mount so I don't think it would rest well on it if it is just a bean bag topping.

It's like a beanbag ring with a flat smooth plastic centre which the suction cup sticks to, it's a simple design that does the job very effectively.

Got mine now, looks like it'll do the job nicely. Saves me pissing around trying to get it on the windscreen, cheers.

Does it have a flat area for the suction mount to attach?

I have something similar purchased in the US as not all states allow GPS attached to the windscreen and I have to say it's so good. Mine is a bit bulky in the glove box when not in use BUT no more suction marks on the screen and great for a passenger to just pick up, re-program and slap back down on the dash. It won't move when you go round a corner. It really is so much better than attaching to your windscreen.

Also reserved one. There's no way it'll work, what's Halfords refund policy like?

Many thanks to OP.

Not really as there would be nothing securing the sat nav to the mat and it would also be laying flat.

Trust me, it'll work.
The packaging is just pull apart plastic so you could return it and it wouldn't even look like it had been opened, Halfords are pretty good at returns, just keep the receipt.

Thanks Den38, I'm off now to collect, I'll report back

I have a Panasonic Strata which is 5" screen with quite a long (deep) windscreen mount - it's going to be pretty front heavy, hence my concern.

Great deal.
I use one of these with my 4'3" satnav and it is superb and has never once fallen off. I leave it attached and just unclip the unit itself when I want to take it out of the car. Sits anywhere on the dash but i keep mine in a cubbyhole.
Got it from Halfords when it was £14 odd so this is a great price.
Just make sure the disc in the centre is clean when you attach the mount and you'll have no problems.
