Free tall coffee at Starbucks (when buying a bag of coffee)........ or should that be bag of coffee for 40p?????????????

£0.40

Here is the deal, instead of buying a coffee at Starbucks buy a bag of coffee and get any tall drink for free.

To me this is a no-brainer if I buy a dark chock moka its £3.40 but buy a bag of coffee for £3.80 to use at home and I get a free tall drink, my dark moka is £3.40 so net cost of bag of coffee is 40p

For me I'm going in for a drink anyhow so look at it as a bag of coffee for 40p.

please note to get this deal you must use a startbucks card (its part of their loyalty scheme), if you dont have one pick one up in store.
With Starbucks Card Rewards, every time you use your card to pay for a beverage, you can enjoy free customisation (extra shot, syrup, soy and whipped cream). And when you buy a bag of whole bean coffee with your card, you get a free tall handcrafted beverage of your choice.
No, we have done it three weeks running now at serveral different stores, instead of buying a coffee we have bought a bag of coffee and got a free tall drink for free, we are building up a cupboard full of Starbucks coffee for almost free.....

PS.... yes as you say you can also get a free filter to up but thats and extra on top of this.....

Title is very misleading, should read something like "Buy a bag of coffee for £3.80, get a tall coffee worth £3.40 free at starbucks"

chock moka its £3.40"

The question is really if such a drink that costs 10p to make worth £3.40?
At what price point would you stop buying it?
£5 a cup? £10 a cup, £20 a cup?

However nice it may be, I just cannot justfy £3.40 for a cup.
I can afford to buy it, but I am not inclined to buy overpriced goods.

As for their coffee, is it worth £3.80?
I doubt it as well. You could probably buy better coffee at 1/3 or the price,
or even ground coffee from your own 99p shop!

So I think it's a bad deal.

Well said, totally agree I never go in to these coffee places they are all the same I've got more important things to spend my money on that £3.40 for a coffee Some people have to live on less than that a day!

Most workplaces these days have the facilities to make coffee/tea why not save a fortune and buy a decent jar of coffee and make one at work?

And for those reasons.....I'm OUT!

P.S. - Not voted either way as if your mad enough to pay that in the first place there's no saving you.

Does the word recession mean anything to you?

Does the phrase "UK most indebted European nation" mean anything to you?

It is the concept that spending £3.40 on a cup of coffee is letting your hair down that has gotten a lot of people into massive personal debt. Let your hair down and buy a 42" LCD TV to fit into your 6' by 6' living room. Let your hair down by getting a £15,000 car on HP with an income of £800 a month. Let your hair down by getting yourself into personal debt that you may never be able to get out of and causes daily suicides.

A bit too dramatic for you maybe but the reality is that this coffee is stupidly overpriced and anyone on the average wage who buys it more than once a month pretty much deserves their debt.
