ASUS GeForce 9600GSO SLI 512MB GDDR2 TV-Out/Dual DVI PCI-Express - Retail £44.83 @ Novatech

£44.83

I think that this is a great price for this card, given that its ATI equivalent, the HD 4670, is still about £10-15 above it. With broadly equivalent performance, the HD 4670 runs cooler and doesn't require external power and is the one which I would choose.

However, if you want the same performance and don't mind it running a little hotter and taking a bit more power, then this is a very decent card for the money!

There's 3% quidco as well.

Here are the specs:

If you're an ATI fanboy then don't vote cold on this just because it doesn't bat for your team. Show me where you can get a 9600gso cheaper. Or at least an HD 4670 for the same price.

Although the card has 512mb, it is based on G94 architecture (unlike the old 9600GSO/8800GS with G92 ),it has only 48SP (instead of 96), fewer TMUs, and slower memory DDR2, therefore it will be MUCH slower than the previous version of 9600GSO with 384mb ram or ATI HD4670.
It's cheap, quiet and well made ...but it's not a gaming card, unless you play rather old games.
IMO, this 9600GSO - it's an example of unfair practices of nVidia built on popularity of the older 9600gso.

Get this 9600GSO instead : http://www.ballicom.co.uk/video-card...t.p383732.html ~42 delivered (choose free 7 days delivery)

None vote left. Voting cold discourage people from posting deals !!! Think !

Nice find and the RAM bandwidth kills this card.
Wikipedia seems to give a different description of the chip but confirms that the RAM is crippled - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compari...9xxx.29_series
