not yet, but just been to wickes to check it out prior to ordering. Looks and feels nice, and no bevelling means a nice smooth finish. was maybe a tiny more brown in colour than it appears in picture, but it could have just been the harsh lighting in the shop.

is the underlay essential and what was the reason you opted for it?

Looks really nice! A lot more expensive than the cheaper ones. Looking at getting my floor done sometime soon, I'll be thinking about it! H&R =]

Underlay keeps the noise down a little, especially on an upstairs floor, also smooths out any bumps, and probably makes the laminate last a bit longer.

it depends on what floor your laying it on, and how much you want to spend. They all do the same thing really. However on concrete floors you need a waterproof membrane as well as a cushion-y underlay such as foam. Just floor boards you can use foam (cheapest) or fibreboard.

Personally I've always used the bog standard laminate floor underlay - never been a problem.
