The Eneloop pre-charged rechargeables are back down in price at 7dayshop.
"Eneloop batteries come pre-charged and ready to use and maintain/hold their charge for a very long time and compared with normal Ni-Mh batteries. Eneloop AA batteries are rechargeable up to 1,000 times and are capacity rated at 2000mAh and will offer you excellent performance. "
There are other non-branded (or less well known at least) alternatives for similar prices and less, and some say better, but many swear by these.
Its 7dayshop, so currently "Stock: Plenty"! The price of these had gone back up to nearly £8 recently.

I've posted hot because these are excellent batteries, although only 2000mah they use a fairly new technology which substantially reduces battery power depletion over time, so much so that after 11months unuse then there's still over 85% power left compared to all other NiMH batteries which would be virtually zero.
Sounds like marketing **** but if you ever leave your camera unused for a few weeks then go to get it out for an impromptu shoot or day out then it's a fantastic asset to know it'll be 'ready to go'. Certain DSLR's don't like batteries which 'drop-off' voltages too quickly which sometimes makes them shutdown the camera (Pentax K100D for One), these batteries don't suffer this problem because of the charge retention. For me, price is irrelevant, i'd pay £15 for a set of these because of their flexibility @ this price they are a bargain !!! For once i have to admit that people voting cold are voting through their a**es & should look into the product rather than surmising that they can buy a set of 2700mah rechargeables for under a fiver from the local market. If your market sells 2700mah rechargeables for as much as a fiver, then I would also suggest trying another cheaper source for them! I don't buy that type anymore though. |
