Sanyo Eneloop AA Batteries (Pack of 4) back down in price (free postage) £6.99 @ 7dayshop

£6.99

40°

FOUND BY: JayDubya 5 months, 2 weeks ago

The Eneloop pre-charged rechargeables are back down in price at 7dayshop.

"Eneloop batteries come pre-charged and ready to use and maintain/hold their charge for a very long time and compared with normal Ni-Mh batteries. Eneloop AA batteries are rechargeable up to 1,000 times and are capacity rated at 2000mAh and will offer you excellent performance. "

There are other non-branded (or less well known at least) alternatives for similar prices and less, and some say better, but many swear by these.

Its 7dayshop, so currently "Stock: Plenty"! The price of these had gone back up to nearly £8 recently.

I've bought loads of rechargeable AA batteries from 7DayShop - they've all been rubbish! Will these be better?

Hmm. I've never had any trouble with any of the batteries. I presume you mean their own brand? I've found them excellent. These are of course, Sanyo batteries, so where they are sold from is irrelevant. Maybe you have a rubbish charger. What probs have you had with your batteries?

It's very much a budget charger by all accounts, but better than none if you don't have one at all.

PS: Getting cold in here... presumably these can be bought elsewhere for much cheaper.

I wish the cold voters would share that knowledge.... ;)

I've bought Panasonic and own brand from that place, neither hold their charge for more than a couple of days! very annoying, carger is a cheap item, but could that really be the cause of my problems?

Might want to mention that the price for an individual pack is £6.99 - it's only showing up as £6.49 if you buy ten packs or more...

I would suggest that as the problem too.
since I bought a Lidl one, for about 13 quid, my batteries have ALL been much better, it found a couple defective, but others were totally revitalised - even some OLD NiCd 9v ones I thought were nearly dead!

Still would recommend the Vapextech.co.uk ones, cheaper, performance is excellent.

I've read about some Panas being poor in the past, but never had any. More likely the charger (in my uninformed opinion).

A cheap charger can really wreck your batteries. Get an "intelligent" charger of some sort, that will cut off and trickle at the right point etc. They do not have to be expensive - 7ds have plenty by the looks of it. Fast chargers really get batteries hot, and that shortens the life.

WHAT?! It's changed. That's changed in the last hour!

Expired then I guess. Although I could just change the price now? Or is that poor form on the people who have already voted?

I've posted hot because these are excellent batteries, although only 2000mah they use a fairly new technology which substantially reduces battery power depletion over time, so much so that after 11months unuse then there's still over 85% power left compared to all other NiMH batteries which would be virtually zero.

Sounds like marketing **** but if you ever leave your camera unused for a few weeks then go to get it out for an impromptu shoot or day out then it's a fantastic asset to know it'll be 'ready to go'.

Certain DSLR's don't like batteries which 'drop-off' voltages too quickly which sometimes makes them shutdown the camera (Pentax K100D for One), these batteries don't suffer this problem because of the charge retention.

For me, price is irrelevant, i'd pay £15 for a set of these because of their flexibility @ this price they are a bargain !!!
For once i have to admit that people voting cold are voting through their a**es & should look into the product rather than surmising that they can buy a set of 2700mah rechargeables for under a fiver from the local market.

They might be cold because a lot of us have found Vapextech new technology batteries give similar superb performance for even less money, they are not comparable with the local market batteries at all, and so many who use this site will have tried them by now. My only complaint is, the Vapextech ones are not quite as cheap as they were fairly recently, but still better value nonetheless

If your market sells 2700mah rechargeables for as much as a fiver, then I would also suggest trying another cheaper source for them! I don't buy that type anymore though.

No, you're wrong I'm afraid. I received an email from 7ds this morning which highlighted the price, which prompted me to post originally at £6.49. A month or so ago the price was £7.99. Can't vouch for yesterday, but it is irrelevant anyway. The price went up today after a brief period of "Stock: Update in progress" (or similar).
