Virgin Contract £10 Month For 300 Minutes & 300 Text For New & Existing NTL & TELEWEST Customers

£10.00

93°

FOUND BY: vespa 2 years, 10 months ago

I noticed this deal on the NTL/Telewest web site when I was up-grading our services yesterday.

Virgin Mobile offer
Special offer
£10.00 a month when you take any NTL or Telewest service
Offer ends: 31.03.07
Offer available to new and existing customers

Virgin Mobile offer
Because we think mobile's great, we've teamed up with Virgin Mobile to bring you a great deal more.

When you join ntl or Telewest, you get the chance to join Virgin Mobile and use an exclusive monthly tariff which costs half the price of their standard SIM only tariff. And because it's only available to you as a cable customer, you won't see it anywhere else!

What do I get?

Tariff Minutes Texts SIM card cost Monthly cost
Virgin £10 with cable 300 300 FREE £10 (usually £20)

Voicemail in the UK is free too. With the Virgin Mobile SIM offer, there's no minimum term and no ties. After your first month, you're free to leave Virgin Mobile when you choose.

You can use the airtime in your package to make calls and send texts to any UK network, at any time. And it's not just mobile networks - standard UK calls are included too.

How do I buy it?
New customers can take up this offer by simply choosing any combination of ntl products. You will need to select at least one service from Telewest, and then you will be able to select the option to sign up for Virgin Mobile.

Existing customers can sign up for this offer here.

This sound like a great deal, I dont think you can get a better 'bundle' price for getting all those minutes on a normal contract could you ?

Does anybody know if there reception is any good ?

Are there similar priced deals to this one on other networks, etc, looked around a little but canT see anything you can get for this type of price (EXCLUDING CASHBACKS BECAUSE IM NOT INTERESTED IN THOSE - TOO MUCH HASLE I WOULD THINK)

Do any of the other networks offer tarrifs on cheaper sim only deals ??? If so, do you have any info?

If you ring Virgin and mention that you want the cable £10 offer they will sort it for you. If you also tell them you have no phone they will give you a Nokia 1110 free plus £2.99 delivery.
They will ask you for your cable account number but I didnt have it with me so gave a number out of my head and they didnt mind, thye also asked if I wanted more than one.
The good thing with this offer is just like the top up service if you dial 789 they tell you how many minutes and texts you have left.

With this offer there is no real need for a telephone line especially if you have BB with cable

I used to be with Virgin Mobile for a few years then I changed over to a O2 18 month contract.

I found Virgin to have a much better reception than O2!

Reception varies for all networks. none of them are perfect.

Good site to find whats near the places u use your phone most:
http://www.sitefinder.ofcom.org.uk/frame_map.htm

I have a eldery but very chatty family member on this deal but I will be shifting them because £10/300mins (they don't use sms) = 5p/min which compared to free rental deals doesn't seem very good, T-Mobile Relax 35 500mins/200sms 12months free rental, £50+ profit after quidco and phone value is what I'm attracted to right now for them.

If you want a rolling contract from the start though so as not to be tied down and do not want cashback deals this is a good offer.

If you mean giving Telewest or NTL a fake account number it wont work as they check your address.

If you mean when you phone up Virgin I am not sure how that would work.

only issue is the small print says this deal goes up to normal price of £20 (from £10) if stop being telewest member - this suggests they check? If so will we get charged for the difference from taking it out to when they realise we were not members if thyey realise we were not properly entitled to the deal?
